Washington's Ports
A Critical Tool for International Economic Development
This TVW presentation provides you with an excellent overview of the key role played by Washington's ports in the arena of international economic development. Recorded before the Washington's Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations on July 9, 2010. The Committee is chaired by the Lieutenant Governor and consists of a bipartisan slate of state Senators and Representatives.
The meeting took place at the Port of Tacoma, and covered a broad range of topics, and will help you understand how Washington's ports are involved in supporting and promoting economic development as one of the driving forces of our state's economy.
The Port of Port Townsend not only provides a base for our local marine trades, but is also involved in a broader range of economic opportunities in Jefferson County.
