THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA'S VICTORIAN SEAPORT

Many famous victorian homes have been converted into bed & breakfast inns, making Port Townsend The Bed & Breakfast Capital of the Pacific Northwest. Fort Worden State Park, with its camping, dormitories and historical Officer's Row accommodations, serves as a cultural convention center and home of Centrum, a non-profit center for the arts and creative education. As in its early days, Port Townsend still provides its citizens and visitors with distinctive and separate marketplaces downtown and uptown. More than 30 restaurants offer a variety of choices from regional fare to international cuisine. Antiques, apparel, art galleries, and a wide variety of accommodations and services abound.

CULTURE

Jefferson County is a rural community with urban amenities, and has attracted a large community deeply involved in the arts.
